13 things to do before Thanksgiving
  • 1. Clean entire house (especially the bathrooms!)
  • 2. Go grocery shopping (buy too much food)
  • 3. Practice making pies for the real deal (I'm so rusty)
  • 4. Make final plans on who does what (Get on the same page)
  • 5. Repeat over and over the story about Chris, the Mayflower, Pilgrims and Indians.(the kids love this and they say "America" so cute!)
  • 6. Teach the kids the 10 little Indians song(they WILL love this)
  • 7. Buy pretty new dishes to eat off of. (all we got is plastic)
8. Convince Husband to put up the Christmas tree for our out of town relatives to see with a single strand of white lights(preferably the flashing kind)

  • 9. Put away all outside toys in prep for winter(if it decideds to stay)
  • 10.Plan 3 yr olds birthday party(today it's Snow White tomorrow it'll be Dora
  • 11.Start prepping family for family photo Christmas card(Yay)
  • 12.Prepare for my Relief Society Lesson(no sweat)
  • 13.Buy more tampons, Motrin, and pretty shirt to wear on Thanksgiving. (added that one just for fun!)

I did a practice Thanksgiving dish the other night and it was VERY well-received. It came from this crock-pot lady's blog:

Sweet potatoes in the crock pot....yummmy!

To answer your questions from my blog...
Dr. Hubby is a family doctor in a small town.
I am still in a grumpy mood.
I am going to be using the schoolhouse for a scrap room and a play room.

Okay, I am a TOTAL list maker and an even better list crosser off-er. Just think about how good you will feel when you get to cross these things off your list! You go girl!

You want a competition girl? :)
I have one for you, I'll make a list of the crazy crap I have to do in two weeks, we'll see who wins! LOL
J/K, Don't stress, you've made your list, then your halfway done. I love lists, otherwise I'd forget something important, like the kids, or to pee or something.

You just reminded me of how much I have to do before Thanksgiving. We go to Maryland to spend it with my husband's family. I have been doing that since I was 18. You think it would get easier.
Good luck with your list, it looks like a good one.

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by!

Yes, I love NH too... I've lived here for most of my life. Tried out living in the south for about six months, but I discovered that I am a true New Englander at heart. :)

ACK! Look at that long list of to-do chores before Thanksgiving! The only reason I didn't do this for my TT was because I really don't want to think about all the cleaning and prepping for the Winter. We had so much rain this year, can't we just skip the snow?? lol.

HAPPY TT!

That's a great list! I've been skipping ahead to Christmas but I do need to think about Thanksgiving. It's my husband's favorite holiday.

I have to do most of what's on your list too- except #11 which we did last month, #12 which I did last Sunday and I can only drool over the idea of pretty new dishes! I will be excited to own REAL dishes again in a couple more years instead of our non-glamorous plastic wear.
